This is the first time in NRC’s history we will have access to free downloadable versions of all Building and Fire Codes. This is a great step by NRC to provide access to long awaited codes at no cost to Canadians. These legislated documents are now readily available for your reference. Hard copies are also available at a discounted rate.. For your reference, below are individual Part by Part comparisons of the ABC 2014 and NBC AB 2019. National Building and Fire Codes – 2019 Alberta Editions

New code editions came in to force April 1, 2019

The transition period for the National Building Code – 2019 Alberta Edition and the National Fire Code – 2019 Alberta Edition ends on December 1, 2019.
